What this game teaches
- Some everyday foods are toxic to dogs, including chocolate, grapes and raisins, onions and garlic, macadamia nuts and the sweetener xylitol.
- Many plain fruits and vegetables are fine as occasional treats.
- "Caution" foods are not usually poisonous but can cause problems in larger amounts or when prepared the wrong way.
Every verdict and reason comes from our Can my dog eat this? table, sourced to the ASPCA, the American Kennel Club, the Merck Veterinary Manual and Cornell University.
